GARLAND WATLINGTON

Garland Watlington has been practicing law since 1995 and brings more than 30 years of experience in personal injury law. A native of Wynne, Arkansas, Garland graduated from Wynne High School before earning his undergraduate degree from Ouachita Baptist University. He later received his law degree from University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law.

In addition to his legal career, Garland proudly served for ten years in the Arkansas National Guard as an infantry officer, with overseas deployments to Germany and Panama. His military service reflects the discipline, dedication, and sense of duty he brings to every client he represents.

Over the course of his career, Garland has recovered millions of dollars for thousands of injured clients, including a landmark $100 million recovery in a wrongful death case. Known for his commitment to the people he represents, Garland goes above and beyond for his clients—sometimes even piloting his personal aircraft to meet clients when travel is difficult, ensuring they receive the support and attention they deserve.

Garland is deeply committed to his community. He has participated in community recognition programs with KAIT-TV through the Something to Smile About segment and actively supports local initiatives such as Fisher Street Community in Action, led by Dr. Coleman. He also served five years on the Jonesboro School Board, helping guide educational initiatives in the region.

Today, Garland continues his public service as a legal consultant for Arkansas Early Learning, Inc., supporting early childhood programs throughout the state. He is also a proud supporter of Arkansas State University Athletics.

Garland has been married to Dr. Amanda Watlington for 28 years, and together they have two children—Alexandra (24) and Zachary (20)—and welcomed their first grandson in 2026.

Outside the courtroom, Garland enjoys spending time outdoors as an avid fisherman and duck hunter alongside his two Labrador retrievers, Barrister and Judge—names inspired by the legal profession (with Judge humorously being the only time Garland can “tell a judge what to do”). A third dog, Dingo, often joins the adventure, while Era, the family’s rescued cat, keeps watch at home. Garland also enjoys skiing and traveling with his family whenever time allows.

With decades of experience, a proven record of results, and a genuine commitment to his clients and community, Garland Watlington continues to advocate for those who need a strong voice after serious injury.
